Swansea have expressed interest in Wayne Routledge after playing hardball with Newcastle's Taylor bid.

"We have expressed an interest in Routledge and are in discussions with Newcastle," said a Swansea spokesperson.
Whatever these discussions may be, the ball's said to be in Newcastle's court and with Pardew not keen on Routledge, Newcastle may take a straight swap or even ask for a cheeky cash + Taylor deal.
Newcastle already have triggered Taylor's release clause and this new development may sweeten the deal and will generate an easy outcome.
