Gervinho Signs For Arsenal...

Newcastle "target" Gervinho has signed for Arsenal as expected. Arsenal's official website released a statement confirming the signing.

"Arsenal Football Club announces that Ivory Coast international forward Gervinho will shortly join the Gunners, subject to a regulatory process."

This leaves former Lille team-mates Cabaye and Gervinho to battle it out on the pitch first game of the season, buckle up as we might have another thriller on our hands!

Arsene Wenger said at a press conference in Kuala Lampur: "Gervinho is efficient, and is very productive with assists for goals, as you can see from his statistics. This should prove very useful for us."

Arsenal fans will have something very much to cheer about after being bombarded with uncertainty on the futures of Nasri and Fabregas.

RVP also added: "I know him from the highlights of the French league, I’ve seen him play a couple of times for the Ivory Coast and I’ve been speaking to Eboue and he was very positive about him."

"The things I’ve seen look great but we will have to wait and see how he adapts. Every new player that comes in needs time so he will need a couple of months to feel at home and hopefully he can play his best football."
