Pardews "technicians" Barton and Cabaye will re-unite with the rest of the squad for this weekends clash against Leeds.

The gaffer believes the toon faithful will witness a technically creative force that Newcastle lacked last season.

“We will have a lot of creative force back in the team in Cabaye and Joey Barton,” Pardew said.

“Some of Demba’s movement in the last game was encouraging because against Leeds I expect to see technicians like Joey and Yohan picking that out.

“We are going to be really threatening the goal and both of them will enjoy playing with Demba Ba.”

Newcastle's pre-season tour to the US was pretty mediocre due to the absense of Barton and Cabaye and Ben Arfa's tour ended abruptly.

Pardew is still in the hunt for an offensive player and has also stressed not to set our sights off Hatem Ben Arfa.

“Don’t forget we still have Ben Arfa to come back from his injury, and that will be a really big bonus for the whole team,” Pardew said.

“There is a great chance that the creativity will bring out more from the whole team and encourage everybody.”
