Neil Taylor Saga Continues...

Newcastle are close to capturing the services of Neil Taylor, the saga is soon coming to an end and things are looking positive on the Newcastle front.

“It is slow progress at the moment but at the same time it needs to be resolved because the lad is in a very delicate position,” Taylor’s agent Jamie Moralee told The Journal.

“At the moment clarification is being sought from the Premier League and we are waiting for that but Newcastle have made it clear that they won’t go above £1million, which is not an offer that Swansea will accept.”

Taylor's representatives have written a letter to the Premier League asking for guidance on how to resolve the matter. There is a dispute on the understanding of the release clause.

The case, having asked the Premier League to intervene, looks set to go to an arbitration panel over the next fortnight.

Swansea made an offer for Routledge which was rejected, the Journal believes the two seperate transfers will be looked upon seperately.

As reported yesterday, the ball seems to be in Newcastle's court and they may just win the battle after triggering the release clause. It's only just a matter of time.
