Pardew has previously admitted the pressure was on him but now it seems like he's regaining control and will take a no-nonsense approach.
Barton who had caused havoc over the last couple of weeks has been warned to get his act straight if he wanted to join into the United ethos.
“Joey’s trained with us, but he understands and we understand each other’s position,” Pardew said.
“Joey won’t be included this weekend unless I feel that he’s totally committed to the club.
“It’s not an olive branch. I’m in the middle trying to mediate but at the end of the line, it’s my dressing room and if Joey’s not right he won’t be in my dressing room.”
Time is running out at St James' Park and Pardew needs to get his team sorted out. The magpies have already confirmed interest in Erik Pieters through Krul and are looking to move forward.
Joey and Jose have played a silly game on twitter and perhaps taken it too literally by being TWITS but it's time for the toon army and the club to move forward.
Players that do not want to play in the black'n'white jersey should move on as they are not welcome here. We're reaching towards the end of the beginning and Pardew will need to take control of his dressing room.
